The Department of Travel Medicine offers a consultant-led, general practitioner and health care professional referral service which provides up-to date information on all anti-malarials and prophylactic drugs. General Practitioners and health care professionals may send patients directly to the clinic for information on prophylactic drugs and pre-travel advice.
Patients may also access the clinic either by appointment or as walk-ins, walk-in patients without an appointment will only be accepted between the hours of 9am and 3pm, and there is no guarantee that they will be seen within any given time frame and availability will depend solely at the discretion of the Travel Clinic staff and the number of booked appointments.
We charge an initial consultation fee of £15.00 for a typical 15 or 20 minute appointment. This fee does not apply to appointments for boosters, or subsequent visits in relation to the same journey.
